JOB SUMMARY
The Scene Assembler is tasked with collating scenes by adding and resizing elements such as approved layouts, backgrounds, characters, props, special effects, and animatics needed for the scene.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Scene Assembly (Senior Level)
- Analyzes pre-production materials from the clients, as well as the materials from other departments. This includes continuity, hook up, re-use of plans, storyboard/animatic, and lead sheet instructions are followed.
- Assesses, sections, casts and ensures correct handout of the scenes.
- Checks the animation elements for its correctness, size comparison and relationship with the background.
- Checks the composition and staging of each scene based on the storyboard/ animatic.
- Makes sure all the elements needed per scene are complete, converted as specified by the client and imported inside the scene file through close coordination with the department heads.
- Acts as a mentor to encourage and to develop the skills of the scene assemblers.
- Manages his/ her own productivity by meeting the schedule and deadlines.
- Organizes production meetings and communication to keep track of the work and is responsible for giving creative input and technical support to the artists.
- Performs other tasks related to the job as assigned.
Scene Assembly (Entry Level)
- Adjusts character sizes, background layer, perspective, and other scene elements to align with the animatic while ensuring continuity of details within each scene.
- Corrects the staging and composition requirements given in the animatic.
- Follows the instructions from the department lead and client materials.
- Ensures that tasks submitted are on time and maintains standard quality.
- Collaborates with team members, supervisors, and other departments, while sharing their insights.
- Gives and receives constructive and creative feedback during handout stage, fix-ups, and retakes

D. Work Experience
- At least 1 to 2 years as a Scene Assembly Artist
- Animation work experience in TV, movies, commercials, video game production studios, and/or ad agencies
- Has worked in a team on time-bounded projects
- Diploma or degree in animation, media arts, graphic design or related field
