3D Generalist
The Artist will be responsible in the following by utilizing both Maya and AFX, based on the provided materials of client and show style.
• Creating 3D animation Assets and Characters
• Applying textures
• Creating skeletons and control rigs for assets
• Animating the rigged assets
• Rendering finished frames
Responsibilities:
• Create and manage digital assets
• Interpret concept art and sketches to create virtual characters, environment and props
• Follow design guidelines, assets naming conventions and other technical constraints
• Prototype and iterate on models and characters based on feedback from team members
• Create textures and UV maps
• Optimize, refine and correct model geometry
• Create the skeletal system to be used in deforming the 3D models
• Create the control system to allow for the manipulation of the joints and affected geometry
• Update existing rigs as necessary
• Paint the weights of the 3D models
• Apply deformers, blendshapes, and other tools
• Keep abreast with the latest developments in 3D tools and technologies
• Execute the required animation from the animatic.
• Work with the creative team to execute project time and within the required quality
Job Requirements:
• Preferably with a degree in fine arts/multimedia/animation or diploma or equivalent course
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in 3D modeling, rigging and animation.
• Expert level knowledge in Maya and Photoshop
• Advance knowledge with animation principles
• An eye for detail and good visualization skills
• Ability to take feedback and make changes as required
• An analytical mind and a problem-solving attitude
• Good communication skills
